About Hippie Dabble

Hippie Dabble started out as a blog with the intent to focus on subjects such as sustainable living, alternative energy sources, environmentally friendly products, social justice, minimalism, health & wellness, inner peace, and feel good stories.  As Tessa began researching for posts, she quickly discovered a world of information and resources already written or recorded.  For several years she worked to share those resources on the website and through the Hippie Dabble Digest.  Meanwhile, Mike was making and selling semi-precious stone bead jewelry and malas under The Bead Dude name.

Eventually Tessa and Mike joined forces and added products to Hippie Dabble including incense, incense burners, and The Bead Dude jewelry that were sold at festivals, fairs, and expos.  Hippie Dabble continued to expand its product offerings, and on October 28, 2023, Hippie Dabble opened its brick and mortar store in Casper, Wyoming.  After almost a year, Hippie Dabble moved to its current location in the Atrium Plaza next to Donells Candies.

Hippie Dabble has recently discontinued the blog and Hippie Dabble Digest but continues to sell hippie-inspired products in its store and through its website.  You can read more about Hippie Dabble’s founders below.

Meet the team

Tessa Davis

Founder | Hippie

The team started out as just me trying to write a blog.  As we’ve opened our store, it has expanded to include my husband/business partner, who I am so grateful for.  Eventually I would like to expand even more so that we are a full brand and team.  I want to build not only a team, but also a community.  At the beginning of 2024, I quit my job as a paralegal to run the store full time.  When I’m not at the store I like to spend my time with my family, take care of and expand my perennial food and flower garden, and write.  I also love being outdoors – hiking, water skiing, kayaking, and sitting in my yard watching the birds and smelling the flowers.  Our family dog, Jack (aka Jack the Terrible), and I have just taken up morning running.  It’s slow going, but that’s ok – we’ll get there when we get there.  And that’s how I feel about life – take it slow and enjoy the scenery.

Michael Davis

Co-Founder | The Bead Dude

You may have seen this blue-bearded guy around town.  He’s known as The Bead Dude for his exceptional ability to make beautiful, holistic, semi-precious stone bead jewelry and malas.  When he’s not beading or working at the Hippie Dabble store, you can probably find him at this regular 9 to 5.  We won’t say where, but we’re sure you’ve seen him!  He also loves spending time with his family and playing video games.  (Photo taken by Jake Tuckey.  Find more of Jake’s work on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/jakevtuckey/ or on Facebook under Jake Tuckey Images at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61562105232337.)
