Hippie Dabble Digest 68: Maze Toys, 8 Japanese habits, environmental news, Daylily recipes & information, exercise & the aging brain, & more!

Welcome to the 68th Hippie Dabble Digest! I’m making progress on getting products onto the website. Still lots to go but slow and steady wins the race. Take a look at the new stuff in the Shop here: https://hippiedabble.com/shop/ and keep checking back!  Our next in person event is the Casper Holistic Expo in Casper, Wyoming, September 9th and 10th. In the mean time, I have lots to get done including setting up our bird feeder livestream. I have a camera but it’s been a learning process getting it set up. I’ve gotten a lot of questions about a storefront. It’s in the works but still a ways off. I first need to increase my online sales so I can afford a lease.

But enough about me, let’s get back to the Digest. In the last two Digests I started you on a journey through my garden. Check out all the lovage here: https://hippiedabble.com/hippie-dabble-digest-66-ambicular-mini-habits-environmental-news-lovage-lemon-roasted-chicken-lots-of-lovage-summer-health-tips-more/ and the asparagus here: https://hippiedabble.com/hippie-dabble-digest-67-weird-or-confusing-free-plants-environmental-news-baked-asparagus-with-parmesan-benefits-of-gardening-asparagus-info-where-to-buy-birdwatching-more/. This week it’s daylilies. Yep, daylilies are edible. See more below. Throughout the rest of the summer, I will feature one edible plant a week that I have growing in my own garden., including a recipe, lots of information, and where to buy. I apologize for missing last week. Sometimes life has other plans.

*All of the links provided in every Digest and on the Directory are not currently sponsored links. I don’t get a single cent when you click on them. I do the Hippie Dabble Digest and the Directory because I love finding and sharing this information. Maybe some day I’ll get paid for it, but for now, I just love doing it.

In the Garden

Did you know daylilies are edible? Don’t get them confused with regular lilies though, which are not edible and could be poisonous. I planted my daylilies a couple of years ago and this is the first year that they will bloom. Still waiting for them to open up though.
